Wife of Naval officer's commits suicide because she had a quarrel with her husband in Lagos

him at their home in the Igando area of Lagos state.
According to reports, Mrs Omojoye left home last Sunday morning saying she was going to church but did not return home as expected. Her husband went to the church to inquire on her whereabouts and found out from the pastor that she did not come to church.
Efforts to reach her on her phone failed until yesterday January 18th when she came home looking distraught. She told her husband that she was kidnapped by some people who only released her yesterday. Her husband did not believe her and told her he suspects foul play.
Angered by her husband's comment, Mrs Omojoye went into their room and allegedly swallowed insecticide.
Omojoye who thought she was pretending to be sleeping, ignored her, only to discover later that she was motionless.
When contacted, the Western Naval Command Information Officer, Lieutenant Commander Chinwe Umar, said the Rating was in police custody and that investigations into the matter is still ongoing.
