It
was dramatic at police check point onuebonyi echara when a police
offier in the unit, last saturday flagged down a navy officer and
ordered his vehicle particulars. The voice gathered that the navy
officer, though not on uniform, insisted that the police officer has no
audacity to ask for his vehicle particulars.The drama ensured when the police officer held him on the waist for insult and contempt. This resulted the DUO in exchanging blows which attracted the attention of other police men on duty.
In his comment, the navy officer said that he politely introduced himself to the policeman and showed him his identity card, but the police officer abruptly sighed and said the navy ID card was fake according to sources, that got the navy officer infuriated which resulted to the fight.
The police officer in his comment accused the navy officer of pride and pomposity and warned him not to insult any police officer especially on duty post.
The issue was amicably resolved by the intervention of other police men.
