How Star Radler caused a stir at AY Live

The stereotypical picture of the average Abuja crowd is that of a high maintenance group of people with their noses in the air and their feet slightly off the ground. Abuja is often typified as a cold, unsociable city of people who have no time for each other.

On Sunday June 21 at A.Y Live which held at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, this stereotype was blown apart comprehensively as audience members seemed to forget the “Abuja code” while falling over each other to check out a sexy new attraction.

The cause of the commotion? A new product from STAR called Star Radler. The drink, which comes in a colourful can, is an exciting mixture of beer and fruit with an alcohol content of 2% vol. To the normally docile Abuja crowd, this was a very big deal – punchy, classy fruits, sexy packaging and just enough of an alcohol content to retain street cred.
