Ebonyi Patriots Rally Support for Chukwu

A few weeks to the commencement of primary election by various political parties in the country, the Ebonyi State indigenes resident in the United Kingdom and Europe have given their support to the former Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, in his bid to become the next governor of the state come 2015.

The group, known as Ebonyi Patriots UK (EPUK), noted that with Chukwu contesting the gubernatorial seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he would champion the development of Ebonyi State when he emerges as the governor.

According to the president of the group, Dr. Otu Enwo, a medical specialist in neuro-anaesthesia, Ebonyi indigenes in the Diaspora are keen at ensuring that the most qualified candidate emerges as Ebonyi State Governor.

He added that having assessed the credentials of all the candidates Chukwu, he was far the most capable to deliver the development Ebonyi State so desperately desires.

The specialist made this known today in London shortly after a general meeting attended by group of Ebonyi indigenes in UK and Europe. He said this was the first time eEbonyi indigenes in Diaspora will get together to sincerely think about who becomes the next governor of the state with a move to ensure the most capable candidate wins the election.
