Briefing newsmen on the successes and achievement recorded by his Command between 1st May
till date, at the Police Officers' Mess, Old GRA, Port Harcourt, the
Commissioner of Police, CP Zaki M. Ahmed recalls said he had given his
officers on proactive crime control measures.
"As a practical step, I ordered for the sectorization of
the Command into seven distinct sectors with my humble self heading one
of the sectors. The sectors are to embark on aggressive patrol of their
areas of responsibility with the view of preventing, detecting and
arresting offenders. And I can tell you for a fact that so much has been
achieved through this noble and novel approach. You will agree no less
with me that crime rate in the State has reduced drastically within the
last one month. And we intend to do more.
