The beheaded students have been identified as Samuel, a 300L Political Science student and Chukwuebuka Benedict Nwaigbo, Estate Management, 300L. A third person who was present during the attack was critically injured and currently receiving treatment at a hospital. He is however not a member of any cult group. Two students of Abia State University were butchered and beheaded in front of Pego 1 lodge in the school yesterday by unknown people. There's a speculation that this gruesome murder was done in retaliation to the murder of a final year MBL student who was suspected to be a cultist barely two weeks ago. Lai Mohammed denies saying FG has lost control of the Nigerian economy

Over the weekend, there were reports that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said that the Federal Government had lost control of the Nigerian economy. The reports alleged that he said this while fielding questions from a radio station in Abuja. However, Lai Mohammed who was a guest on Channels TV this morning, said the report is totally false.
