Arik Flight Makes Emergency Landing As Nigerian Woman Gives Birth on Plane

An Arik Air flight with over 100 passengers en route to London Sunday was forced to make an emergency landing in Palmas, Spain, as a woman went into labour and gave birth while the aircraft was airborne.The pilot was said to have requested the emergency landing on the advice of two doctors who were on board the aircraft and had helped the mother deliver the baby.

Lagos — A witness, in the on-going trial of the former Managing Director of Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank),Francis Atuche, Professor Pat Utomi, yesterday, told a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja that the loans granted by the former Managing Director of the Bank were ratified by the bank’s board of directors.

Atuche, his wife and a former Chief Financial Officer of the bank, Ugo Anyanwu, are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly stealing N25.7 billion belonging to Bank PHB

He was said to have been caught raping the girl in a bush.

Enyimba International of Aba yesterday won the 68th edition of the Federation Cup final held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

It was a dramatic final, full of suspense and action. Warri Wolves led twice but Enyimba came back twice and eventually won the deciding penalty shoot-out 5-4.

ASUU strike: 7 days fasting decleared by Baraje led PDP

WORRIED by the prolonged strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, the Abubakar Kawu Baraje-led new Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, has commenced a seven-day fasting and prayer starting from today.

To make it very effective, the new PDP  has requested all  its members worldwide to embark on the exercise, adding that the spiritual intervention was as a result of the concern of the Baraje-led PDP for the plight of parents and university students due to the continued closure of public universities following the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Dr. Agagu died yesterday afternoon,less than 24 hours after returning from a trip to United States. He was aged 65.

A 12-year-old girl, Miss Ijeoma Mbiaka, on Wednesday narrated to DailyPost how the pastor of her church, Rhema Ministries in Oyeagu Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Rev Sampson Otisi allegedly lured her to a hotel, under the guise of conducting deliverance on her but ended up molesting her all through the night.
Ijeoma, who is hard at hearing, told our reporter that she had gone to the church to seek prayers from the pastor so that she could hear loudly again.
